Treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis
Gingivitis and periodontitis are widespread diseases in the general population with symptoms and severity that vary. The main characteristic of gingivitis is bleeding gums and periodontitis the recession (drop) of gums and tooth mobility. It is extremely important for early diagnosis and immediate start of treatment because the damage can be irreversible. In my practice I use the latest generation ultrasonic device that guarantees painless, effective and thorough treatment.
Prosthodontics and restorative dentistry
Modern dentistry now enables recovery of lost tooth structure with materials that restore functionality and aesthetics without the extensive use of the ‘’drill’’. To achieve this I use the latest generation composite materials (known white filling). I am also collaborating with one of the most modern dental laboratories in Athens which manufactures for you excellent quality and aesthetic restorations that are long-lasting and cause admiration.
Diagnosis/Prevention
Early diagnosis of oral lesions is vital for an easy, quick and low cost treatment. For this reason all my patients regardless of age, get a personalized recall protocol and oral hygiene instructions depending on their therapeutic needs. In each check-up I thoroughly check your teeth, gums and do cancer screening.
Endodontics
Endodontic therapy, also known as root canal treatment is performed in my surgery painlessly. I use the most modern tools and materials in order to achieve the best results and the highest tooth survival rates. The treatment is always performed with rubber dam, digital radiography, electronic apex locator and mechanized rotary instruments for the root canal preparation.

Biography
Dr Adonis Antoniou was born and raised in Paphos - Cyprus. In 2003 he successfully passed the pancyprian exams and achieved one of the seven places at the school of dentistry of the Nation and Kapodestrian University of Athens. In September 2005, he finished his twenty five month National Service in Cyprus and moved to Athens to start his studies. During his five year studies he was actively involved with research, publishing two papers and taking part in several conferences. After his graduation in 2010 he moved back to Cyprus and volunteered at the dental department of his hometown's Hospital. In February 2011 he moved to the United Kingdom and lived there for five years. He worked at practices in Peterborough, Bristol and Oxford and treated successfully thousands of patients.
In 2012 he specialised in dental implantology at ''Dentale'' in Bristol. During this one year course he learned to assess and diagnose edentulus patients, provide with a viable treatment plan, surgically treat and restore dental implants. Today he lives in Athens with his wife and son and practices dentistry in Greece and in the U.K. His goal is to provide high quality, long-lasting and affordable dental treatments. To achieve this he invests in new technology and continuing education.
